About

Smarter tech for a safer world.

Ephigma is an early-stage research and product studio working toward one goal: a world where all of humanity, and every generation to come, can live with peace of mind.

We pursue it in three directions: extending what the human brain can do, building robots that make everyday life safer, and putting technology to work on environmental problems.

We start with the brain. Kokuuz is a memory companion that listens, summarises, and answers questions about your day, and AI News Reporter keeps you informed on the topics you care about. Both run on devices you already own — groundwork for the robots and environmental technology still to come.

The name

What does Ephigma mean?

Ephigma is a coined word — it doesn't exist in any dictionary, but it breaks down into three roots that each carry a piece of our vision.

Ephemeris astronomical almanac · orbital data

The precise coordinate records of where every celestial body is — and when. An ephemeris tells you exactly where any star was, is, or will be.

For Ephigma, this means mapping the vast fragments of human memory and thought — the stars — so they can be retrieved accurately, any time.

Enigma mystery · the unknown

The brain and consciousness remain the last great frontier of human understanding. That sense of profound mystery — and the drive to explore it — lives at the heart of everything we build.

Stigma from Greek: a mark carved in

The original Greek meant a brand or impression burned into something. For us it evokes the way memory works at its best — vivid, lasting, indelibly etched.

"Extending the memory of the vast universe we call the brain — making it as accessible and precise as the orbital data of the stars."
